How to Perform Hajj in Step-by-Step Instructions

Here is the post on How to Perform Hajj in Step-by-Step Instructions offered by our travel agency with the cheap and best December Umrah Packages 2022. Every year in the twelfth month of the Islamic calendar, called Dhul-Hijjah, millions of Muslims from all over the world congregate in Mecca to perform the hajj.

For those Muslims (male or female) who have the financial and physical means, performing Hajj is a once-in-a-lifetime obligation. Muslims from all over the world gather in Mecca every year to renew the six-day ritual that the last prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) performed during his last pilgrimage in a show of unity, faith, and solidarity.

Getting ready for the Hajj

Day One of Ihram

On the 8th of Dhul-Hijjah, pilgrims enter Ihram, which entails wearing simple garments—two unstitched for men. And stitched loose clothing for women—not engaging in sexual activity or fighting, and so on.

Day Two

Pilgrims travel to Mina by foot, bus, or car after entering Ihram. It's about an 8-kilometer journey. They must stay in Mina for the entire day. Pilgrims pray and remember Allah Almighty while they are there. After traveling 14.4 kilometers from Mina, pilgrims arrived in Arafat and spent the day in prayer. After sunset, pilgrims travel 9 kilometers north of Arafat to Muzdalifah, where they spend the night under the stars.

Day 3: Throw pebbles at the pillars

Yawm-ul hajj al Akbar is the third day of the hajj. For all pilgrims, this is the longest and most dangerous day of the hajj, as millions of people throw pebbles at the pillars. Muslims around the world and in Hajj celebrate Eid al-Azha on the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah. The day of the pilgrims begins with the throwing of seven stones at Jamaraat, the largest pillar.

They return to Mina before Dawn. The Islamic historical tradition endorses this symbolic act of stoning Satan or the devil. All pilgrims must perform a sacrifice after casting pebbles. The Pilgrims must then sacrifice a goat, sheep, camel, or cow. After shaving or trimming their hair, pilgrims removed their Ihrams at this time.

Many pilgrims travel to Mecca to perform tawaf and Sai, which includes seven times circling the Kaaba and seven times running or walking between the hills of Safa and Marwa.

Day 4 and 5 of stay in Mina

On days 4 and 5, pilgrims stone pillars once more, this time throwing seven pebbles at three of them. The pilgrims then spend the next two or three days in Mina praying and remembering Allah. They return to Mecca from Mina after these days to perform the final tawaf, also known as farewell tawaf.

Before returning home, pilgrims can also pay a visit to Medina, another holy Islamic city where the last prophet Hazrat Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and his companions are buried. Visiting Medina, on the other hand, is not included in the Hajj.
